Who We Are

Who is Jesus?God: We believe in one God, Creator of all, Holy, Sovereign, Eternal, Existing in three equal persons, The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19, Heb 1:2, Eph 4:4-6, John 1:1-4

Christ:We believe in the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ, in His eternal existence with the Father in preincarnate glory, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry and personal return. Rom 8:3, Matt1:18-25, John 1:1, Heb 4:15, Acts 1:3,9-11

The Holy Spirit: We believe in the absolute and essential deity of the Holy Spirit. Who convinces of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, Who regenerates, sanctifies, illuminates, gifts, empowers and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ. Matt 28:19, John 16:8-11, John 14:15, 16, 26, Eph 4:8, Acts 1:8

The BibleBIBLE: We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God; that the sixty-six books, as originally written comprising the Old and new Testaments were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God and were entirely free from error, that the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and the true basis of Christian union. 1 Thess 2:13, 2Tim 3:16, John 17:17, Psalm 119:160, Matt 4:4

Belief ThreeSatan: We believe that Satan exists as an evil personality, the originator of sin, the arch-enemy of God and man. That he, along with his angels, are defeated through Christ’s death and resurrection. 1 Peter 5;8-9, 1 John 3:8, Col 2:13-15

Man: We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God; that he sinned, becoming guilty before God, resulting in total depravity, thereby incurring physical and spiritual death. Gen 1:26-27, Rom 5:12,19, Rom 3:22-23

Salvation: We believe that salvation is by the sovereign electing grace of God; that by the appointment of the Father, Christ voluntarily suffered and died in our place to clear us from the guilt of our sin and the penalty of death and is received by faith alone in the all-sufficient sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and that those whom God has effectually called shall be divinely preserved and finally perfected in that image of the Lord. Titus 3:5-7, Eph 2:5-10

Future Things: We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the bodily resurrection a=of the just and unjust; in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and in the judgment and conscious, eternal punishment of the wicked. Matt 25:31-46, (judgment), 1 Cor 15:35-54, 1 Thess 4:16-17

The Local Church: We believe that the local church is composed of believers, who have gone through believers baptism, called out from the world separated unto the Lord Jesus. They voluntarily associate in the ministry of the Word, the mutual edification of church members, the propagation of the faith and the observance of the ordinances. We believe the local church is a sovereign independent body, exercising its own divinely awarded gifts, precepts and privileges under theLordship of Jeusus Christ the Great head of the church. We believe that it is governed by a board, Elders, Deacons, Teachers and Pastors.

Ordinances: We believe that there are only two ordinances for the church regularly observed in the New Testament in the following order:
a) Baptism which is the outward public declaration, vows before witnesses and God, of faith in Jesus Christ resulting in our death and resurrection through His death and resurrection. Infilling of the Spirit Baptism must first take place in the believer's heart and then be represented publicly through the metaphor of water and testimony.
b)The Lord’s supper is the corporate observance where believers meet together to remember the Lord’s broken body and shed blood and the fact that He did this for us. This is done by sharing bread and the fruit of the vine together in heartfelt repentance and corporate worship. This proclaims His death until He comes. 1 Cor 11:23-26.

Religious Liberty: Regarding the Canadian Constitution Acts, Schedule B, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (1982), Part 1, Fundamental Freedoms, 2. a) freedom of conscience and religion Equality Rights., 15.(i), (2) Subsection (1): We believe in religious liberty. As such under the same authorization of the government our organization operates under Biblical Christian principles and expects those in membership to agree to such principals.

The Lord’s Day: We believe that we gather on the first day of the week to celebrate our Lord’s resurrection. It is the Lord's day set aside for worship and spiritual exercises. Matt 28:1-7

Civil Government: We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of society; That magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed, except only in the things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Lord of the conscience and Prince of the kings of the earth. Acts 5:29
The Church and State: The church should remain separate from the state so that there should be no intrusion of the one in the affairs of the other. Rom 13:1-7, James 4:12, 1 Tim 2:1-2
